Himeji Kanko Navi Port (Tourist Information Center)

This is a new tourist information center located west side of JR central entrance gate.

English-speaking representatives give you information and'This is Himeji' (visual exhibition) portrays Himeji Castle and its surrounding area, Mt. Shosha, souvenirs, and festivals in Himeji. 'Hands-on Experience of Himeji Castle' section exhibits a 1/150 scale model of Himeji Castle as well as offering a visual tour of the Main Tower and showing ten best spots for viewing Himeji Castle.

There are more sections which are 'Film Tour Covering Location Sites' and 'Sight-seeing Brochures' of the Nishi-Harima area. Rental-Bike is available for tourists.

Kashi-no-Ki Kai
English guided tour of Himeji Castle is available with free of charge. One week prior reservation is needed for tour of ten and under people. One month for over 10. It depends on an availability of tour guides that over ten people can be guided. For application and inquiry, please e-mail to the following address.

This is the group of English-speaking volunteer guides specializing in Himeji Castle. Their expertise in the castle is superb. No appointment is necessary, but you are advised to check their availability in advance to secure a guided tour because they are not always on duty.
